Hiring – Full Time

Licensed Embalmer

Location: Rose Family Funeral Home & Cremation - Simi Valley, CA

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Days: Monday – Friday or Saturday with a day off during the week.

Paid medical & dental at conclusion of probationary period.

401K match after 1 year of employment.

Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays @ conclusion of probationary period.

Hourly wage depending upon experience.

Duties include embalming, restorative work, dressing, casketing, and applying cosmetics.  Embalmer must adhere to state laws, health regulations, and ethical practices.  Embalmer must also maintain the preparation room, manage supplies/inventory management, and collaborate with funeral directors and other staff.

Core responsibilities include all of the above as well as maintaining accurate records of embalming procedures, chain-of-custody, ensuring the embalming room and preparation areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to removals and transfers of decedents, funeral services, viewings, graveside services, and interacting with families to answer questions and provide support.
