Position Overview: This full-time role combines clinical administration with hands-on veterinary work. As Medical Director, you will oversee all hospital operations, lead the veterinary team, and ensure the highest standard of patient care.

The schedule is Monday to Saturday, with rotating Saturday shifts.

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 8 am - 10 pm
• Tuesday: 8 am - 4:30 pm
• Wednesday: 8 am - 10 pm
• Thursday: 8 am - 4:30 pm
• Friday: 8 am - 10 pm
• Saturday: 8 am - 4 pm (rotating Saturdays required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all clinical practices and hospital operations.
• Supervise and mentor veterinary staff.
• Manage schedules, hiring, and evaluations in collaboration with the Practice Manager.
• Develop and implement clinical procedures for improved efficiency.
• Maintain accurate medical record documentation and review current and historical records.
• Perform medical, surgical, and dental procedures as needed.
• Step in as a veterinarian during busy periods or when no other DVMs are available.
• Collaborate on budget management and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) license in California (new graduates welcome).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to provide veterinary care when needed.
• Ability to lift and restrain animals as required.
• Advanced certifications or specializations are a plus, but not required.
