Death Certificate Clerk
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Monday – Friday 8a-4:30pm
Paid medical & dental insurance (@ conclusion of probation period)
401K match after 1 year of employment
Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays
$19.00 – 21.00/hour depending upon experience
Duties included, but not limited to:
- Time sensitive data entry
- Verifying client data/medical records
- Utilizing internal software & State electronic death record system
- Answering telephones
- Greeting client families in lobby and assisting as needed
- Occasional night services as needed/set-up, tear down, & clean-up
- Office inventory, cleaning, and maintenance
- Receiving and staging of supplies, casket, & flower deliveries
- Proficient use of computers, software, and technology
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to conduct with a “family first” approach
- Excellent customer service both on telephone and in-person
- Ability to attend to families with the utmost care
- Other duties as assigned
- Professional dress-code
- Drive decedents to crematory for cremation

Licenses and Certifications:
Maintain a valid CA driver’s license & clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing between 25-100lbs
Ability to operate computer, mouse, copier/printer, and telephone
Ability to work on a computer and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
